The Harsh Reality of MLM and Earning Money Online

MLM or Multi Level Marketing might seem like a good way to make online money, if you haven't been able to do so in the past. However, this is one area of marketing that is filled with horror stories of people cheating, scamming and taking advantage of each other. Does that sound like something you want to be involved in? Of course, you aren't going to think about this anymore. But nevertheless, it might still somewhat hold your interest. If you ever feel like you are still considering multi level marketing, hopefully the following reasons will snap you back to your senses.

If you have been around for some time, you have more than likely heard that MLM opportunities afford you the best possibility of making money. This is absolutely wrong. People that try to do MLM usually fail - only 1% or less of the population has ever made any money at it. Starting an online business, promoting your products and services, will probably make you more cash. The business model presented by MLM companies is on shaky ground, a way of business that is not recommended for all. The entire system will crash to the ground if even a simple bookkeeping error is made.

You will often hear the MLM cannot possibly be a pyramid scheme because actual physical products are being sold. The truth is that the way in which MLM is set up is almost exactly like those pyramid schemes. You can still be scammed when selling physical products, as opposed to mailing money to people. This has become so hard to figure out, though, that the courts had to get involved. You have to sell a minimum of 70 percent to a non distributor. If the numbers dip any type of way, then it will be believed that someone is getting scammed.

MLM business owners like to tell people that MLM is the road to financial independence and fulfillment. This is false.

Basically, you cannot earn good money with a multi level marketing business model. Even if you manage to promote a lot of products, the proceeds will go to the people at the top level of the pyramid. Also, you have to dish out money for MLM fees. Also, you have to worry about paying membership fees or other things such as missing a deadline or quota. So you might end up losing money, not making it...even after all of that work. The MLM field has long since been outed as a field mostly filled with scams. Unfortunately, the MLM marketing hype is so very clever about attracting newbies who all hope to become instant millionaires with no work involved that it becomes easier to see how this broken industry continues to survive. These people lose a lot of money, end up discouraged and decide that every form of online sale or shopping is fraudulent. Take note of this article and don't become one of those people.
